Depending on the case, this can be the regional fund of the Régime Sociale des Indépendants, the Mutuelle Sociale Agricole or the Caisse d’assurance retraite et de la santé au travail. The senior citizen can also contact the town hall, the Conseil Départemental, the social action center of his or her commune as well as the Caisse Nationale de Solidarité pour l’Autonomie to obtain information. As for the duration of the home help service, it is set at 30 hours per month for one person and 48 hours for a couple.

How do I get home help?

Of course, you have to make a request. This is linked to a medical prescription after the analysis of the applicant’s health condition by a doctor or a health professional. This is especially important if the person is returning to their home after surgery. This also applies to individuals with a serious illness. In this type of situation, the use of a home health aide is a necessity. The person has to apply to the Caisse Primaire d’Assurance Maladie where he/she is a member. The person must prepare a few documents to obtain this social assistance. He/she must provide the form issued by the organization after having completed and signed it, a medical prescription and proof of resources.
